Tony McKegney - IP

Tony McKegney

Retired professional hockey player. Played for Buffalo Sabres, Quebec Nordiques, Minnesota North Stars, New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Blackhawks.

McKegney, a native of Montreal, Quebec, was drafted 32nd overall in the 1978 National Hockey League Amateur Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. Before being drafted, Tony signed on to play in the WHA, but his contract was dis-continued, this meant he would join the NHL the following year. He would end his career with 320 goals and 639 points. Tony now works with the Detroit Red Wings and Buffalo Sabres Alumni organizations.
