Paiement, who was drafted 2nd overall by the Kansas City Scouts in the 1974 National Hockey League Amateur Draft, tallied 356 goals and 814 points in his NHL career. During Wilf's playing time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, he wore the number 99. He is the last person before Wayne Gretzky to don the number 99 on their jersey.
