Syvret, who captained the 2005 OHL Champion and Memorial Cup Champion, London Knights, has played with a total of three teams during his NHL career, including the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers and most recently, the Anahiem Ducks. Syvret's younger brother, Corey, is a member of the Florida Panthers organization.
