Blacker began his Ontario Hockey League career with the Windsor Spitfires. In Windsor, Jesse would play alongside Edmonton Oiler, Taylor Hall, and Nashville Predator, Ryan Ellis. This powerhouse team would go on to win a Memorial Cup. Blacker was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2009 National Hockey League draft. The following season he would be traded to the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL.
