Kubina began his career with Tampa Bay after being drafted by them in 1996. After spending most of his career with the Lightning, he would join the Toronto Maple Leafs for the 2006-07 season. Pavel would play for the blue and white until 2009-10 when he joined the Atlanta Thrashers. Kubina would play the year out in Georgia but would sign on with the Lightning once again for the 2010-11 campaign.
